AWANA

Awana, an international youth organization, is a Bible centered club program open to all young people of every nation. The acrostic AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. It is taken from a verse in the Bible 2 Timothy 2:15: "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the World of Truth."

AWANA provides Brices Creek Bible Church with a program to reach the young people in our community. A typical club evening for all groups consists of three main segments: an active Game Time geared to each grade level, a Handbook Time geared for handbook achievements and a Council Time geared for a clear presentation of the gospel where all clubbers are challenged towards Christian living and service.

AWANA also has Bible Quiz Teams and Sport Olympic Teams that compete against other churches throughout Eastern NC.

Ages 3 years through 8th grade are eligible for AWANA. The AWANA clubs meet every Sunday during the school year from 5:45 to 7:45 pm. If you would like more information about AWANA, please pick up an AWANA brochure in the Church foyer or give us a call.

Bring your child to AWANA one night and we are confident that they will be begging you to bring them again and again. This is one club program that the kids really love.
