Missionaries

BCBC Supported Ministries and Missionaries -
We are so proud of our missionaries and love them dearly.

African Island Mission - RICH, Warren & Miriam - Serving in Kenya

Our heart is to see the worship of Jesus Christ spread across the continent of Africa – through individual lives fully committed to Him, and collectively through Christ-centered church communities. The Church in Africa is vast and growing daily. But with over 900 African people groups who have yet to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ, the task is far from finished.

Our missionary team is diverse, from outreach workers and church planters, to medical personnel, to a broad network of logistical and support personnel – pilots, teachers, accountants, engineers, IT workers, and more.

Together, we’re committed to being and making disciples of Jesus Christ.

We also seek to disciple to new believers, while mentoring a number of church planters strategically located across the nation.

Entrust - Sam & Fran – Serving in the Middle East

Entrust connects the Bible with the community, meaning that our training results in leaders who see community issues like health, reconciliation, justice, poverty, and ethnic diversity in light of the Great Commandment to love God and our neighbors as ourselves.

Sam and Fran are missionaries in countries where evangelizing is against the law. They have lived for many years around this region and continue to learn the culture and new language dialects in order to bring the truth and promises of Jesus Christ. Please keep them in your prayers as they place themselves at great risk to spread the Gospel.

And we are confident that deep, lasting impact is most possible through long-term relationships.

Baptist Medical & Dental Mission International (BMDMI) - Hosier, Paul & Sheila – Serving in Honduras

BMDMI exists under the Lordship of Jesus Christ to evangelize the lost, disciple the saved, and minister to the needs of the poor.

Since 1974, Central America has been our mission field, bringing people into relationship with Jesus Christ. A personal relationship with Christ is the hope of eternal life and the source of our greatest joy and strength here on earth. No medicine, treatment, education, or any other thing can fill the void in our lives – each of us needs to be in touch with God personally. But our hearts are broken also for the physical needs of the poor. Our volunteers and staff work to meet those needs. It truly is a labor of love...and sweat!

The Lord has blessed our mission work in Honduras and Nicaragua in so many ways. Since 1974, we have planted more than 120 indigenous churches, who have witnessed to more than 120,000 accept Christ as their Savior, and treated more than one million people free of charge.

Mission to the World (MTW) - Dye, Roger & Laura – serving in Chile

Mission to the World (MTW) believes that the Church is God's instrument to complete the missionary task. Our approach is to advance movements of the gospel through the planting of self-propagating, self-supporting, and self-governing churches, which live out a dynamic Reformed and covenantal faith through trained and empowered leadership.

Word: the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ in all of its fullness.

Deed: the demonstration of the gospel of Jesus Christ through meeting physical, emotional, social or cultural needs, in the context of church planting.

The church-planting team is in the heart of one of Chile’s most God-resistant areas. Most of the initial contacts resulting in the Reñaca Presbyterian Church were made through conversational English classes. With all of the original team members in other areas, the Viña Team is now in its “third generation” of missionaries and has recently started a second church plant in downtown Viña del Mar. The missionaries’ vision is to establish a strong Presbyterian denomination that will become a sending church. The Viña Team’s vision is to establish a presbytery in the greater Valparaíso area, and to
partner with other Presbyterian and Reformed denominations and congregations for mutual strength and encouragement.
