Will Explain Later

Passage: Ecclesiastes 3:11-15

Speaker: Barry Teague

Series: Ecclesiastes

“Will Explain Later” - Eccl 3:11-15

He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end. I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one’s lifetime; moreover, that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor — it is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will remain forever; there is nothing to add to it and there is nothing to take from it, for God has so worked that men should fear Him. That which is has been already and that which will be has already been, for God seeks what has passed by.

“Tackling The Tough Question”

God’s plan is meaningful God’s plan is majestic God’s plan is mysterious

moments of clarity / moments of confusion

Ex 5:22 Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people? Why is it You have sent me? Ps 22:1 Why are You so far from helping me? Jer 15:18 Why is my pain perpetual and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed?

“Will explain later!”

1Thess 5:18 “in everything give thanks for this is the will of God”

remember who gets the last word

Life shouldn’t be afflicted by the paralysis of analysis

Isa 55:9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than
your thoughts.”

“Thank you for teaching me that I can love God and enjoy life at the same time!”

Don’t fear life - fear God

God’s mysteries shouldn’t repel us, they should inspire us.

“”I have declared that which I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.... I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; but now my eye sees You; therefore, I retract, and I repent in dust and ashes.”
