Poise Amidst Panic - Eccl 8:1-17

Who is like the wise man and who knows the interpretation of a matter? A man’s wisdom illumines him and causes his stern face to beam.

Wisdom sees the big picture (:1)

Ps 34:5 They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces will never be ashamed.
Ps 25:3 Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed
Isa 60:5 Then you will see and be radiant

No stopwatch on God (:2-14)

Jn 11:21 , 32, 37 Martha then said to Jesus, “aLord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.
Therefore, when Mary came where Jesus was, she saw Him, and fell at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”
But some of them said, “Could not this man, who opened the eyes of the blind man, 1have kept this man also from dying?”

Enjoy life (:15-17)

1Tim 6:17 Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.
